Francisco De La Cita
Francisco De La Cita has more than 30 years of experience in freight forwarding, international logistics, M&A and business integration. He has served as CEO, managing director, investor, adviser and board member in the acquisition and sale of logistics companies, across every role: buyer, seller, and executive integrating the acquired business.
Between 2011 and 2025 he led the operations of XPO Logistics Global Forwarding and EV Cargo Global Forwarding in Iberia, with responsibility for cross-functional teams and budgets of up to €20M annually. At XPO he designed and led the acquisition of four companies in the Iberian market. At EV Cargo he managed the sale and integration of Air Express Cargo and scaled the platform from €1M to €7.5M in revenue over six years, with sustained EBITDA growth.
Previously he held senior positions at DHL Global Forwarding, C.H. Robinson Worldwide and JAS Worldwide, with responsibility for the markets of Spain, Portugal, Morocco and Asia-Pacific traffic corridors.
Today he leads ACQUIXORY and selectively undertakes Senior Advisor and Operating Partner assignments for owners, investors and logistics groups facing growth, transformation, international expansion, M&A and integration. ACQUIXORY remains a firm specialised in Spain Logistics M&A Intelligence, serving owners considering a corporate transaction and buyers seeking consolidated platforms in Spain.
Led transactions
A selection of purchase, sale and integration processes in which Francisco De La Cita held direct responsibility.
Led the acquisition and integration of Iberian Forwarders into the XPO platform in Spain, including the preliminary analysis of operational and commercial fit, and the subsequent merger of teams, clients and structure under the XPO brand.
Directed the purchase and integration of Aducargo, a customs and forwarding specialist, as part of XPO's expansion strategy in the Iberian market. Customs operations were integrated into the existing structure without disruption to client service.
Studied, negotiated and incorporated Tilar's forwarding and customs division into the XPO platform, integrating its client portfolio and specialised customs processing team.
Joined Air Express Cargo as a partner through a minority acquisition of the company, taking responsibility for its commercial and operational development.
Sale of the majority stake in Air Express Cargo to Fast Forward Freight, followed by the integration of the company into EV Cargo Global Forwarding after the group acquisition, including harmonisation of processes, teams and brand.
Study and execution of the purchase of 100% of Ibérica Express Aragón, with integration of its operations and commercial structure into the EV Cargo platform in Spain.
He has led or participated in other study and acquisition processes within the sector, at various stages of negotiation.
